Preparing for Natural Labor Class

Preparing for Natural Labor Workshop

I was able to experience an unmedicated, natural childbirth with my first baby because I took several classes that "train moms-to-be" so they learn how to use their breath to ease anxiety and tension.

You can read how Hypnobirthing classes helped me experience one of the most amazing moments of my life. Click here.

I also really liked the Prenatal Yoga classes at Yogani Studios in South Tampa.

As I prepare to have my second child (due sometime this month!) I wanted to share this wonderful, upcoming class with Annette Scott. It can help ease your anxiety and teach basic breath work--good information no matter what type of labor and delivery you experience.

This workshop will provide families assistance and support to clearly establish and outline their individual birth preferences. Learn how to navigate the limitless information and influences available to parents today. Learn to ask the right questions so medical and support providers supply the information needed to make sound decisions during the uncertainty of labor and birth.

Three Keys Areas of Understanding -

· Primordial: learn to recognize, acknowledge and respond to your innate maternal instinct and intuition.

· Modern: become informed, thus empowered about the modern day hospital culture and setting particularly obstetrics, labor and delivery.

· Self: understand your particular path, acknowledge your family background and culture and where you stand now.

Explore the Possibilities - Look deeply at the depth and breadth of birth potential. Learn to open to the distinctively unique unfolding of each child's birth. Let go of "ideal" birth scenarios and embrace your own.

Embracing Fathers and Partners - Fathers and partners are more present than ever and are experiencing the profound power of birth! Practical tips for assisting and supporting a woman in labor - know what's really needed from you - the partners - to support the birth process.

When Medical Support Is Needed - How to give birth from within and experience the empowerment of labor, even when intervention becomes necessary.

Annette K. Scott has being attending women in birth since 2003. She has delivered with women in water, in bedrooms, in L&D rooms and in birthing centers. She is proud to have been alongside so many women, in so many settings and hopes that her experience can inspire and empower today's mommies in their upcoming labors and births.
