Hello Tampa Bay!

I joined the 10 News team in November of 2008. Even though I'm new to the Bay area, I'm no stranger to Florida! I worked as a reporter down in the Fort Myers area for three years.

While in Southwest Florida, I became an award-winning journalist. My investigative work has earned me the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award. Here in Tampa, I was also recently awarded by the Florida Associated Press.

I'm a big believer in journalism serving the public by holding the powerful accountable. That means always asking the tough questions of everyone - and that's something I'm not afraid to do. My goal is to get you answers, so send me your questions!

Ideology aside, here's a little background on me: I grew up in New England and graduated from Brown University. (Yes, I'm a big Red Sox and Patriots fan...!) I got my start in television news in a tiny town in Texas. There, I reported and anchored both news and sports!

On a more personal note: My husband and I got married on a Captiva Island beach in 2008. We love being outdoors, whether it is canoeing through the mangroves or taking our 9lb mutt Teddy to the dog beach. I've already found fantastic Fort DeSoto Park, but I'd love to learn about your favorite hot spots... so, let me know!

Feel free to e-mail, tweet or post on Facebook any story ideas you have in your community. Take care and tune in!
