Joking aside, Tampa Police's Facebook page notes a "thief is a thief," and someone did steal several pieces of yard art from a Ballast Point residence.

Woman who tried sneaking onto MacDill busted in Colo.

TAMPA, Florida (AP) - A woman accused of sneaking onto MacDill Air Force Base four times was arrested in Colorado last month after trying to get onto a military base there.

The Tampa Tribune reports that Suzanne Jensen tried to get onto Fort Carson on July 29 but was stopped by military police at the gate.

Fight at McDonald's drive-thru leads to stabbing

Tampa, Florida -- An argument over cutting in line at a fast food drive-thru ended with a man stabbed in the butt and a woman on her way to jail.

The Hillsborough Sheriff's says it happened Wednesday morning at the McDonald's on Highway 301 in Riverview. Investigators say Mohammad Abukhder was in the drive-thru lane when 45-year-old Rebecca Simmons tried to cut in line.

Abukhder shouted profanities at Simmons, who then got out of her vehicle and allegedly stabbed the hood of Abukhder's car with a knife.

Tampa, Florida -- Tampa International Airport Police officers are investigating an incident involving a man who says he was zip tied to a tree near the airport.

Police: Man kills, then cooks family dog

Tampa, Florida -- A Tampa man is facing animal cruelty charges after he allegedly killed his family's pet dog, and then cut the animal up for future meals.

Investigators say 25-year-old Thomas Elliot Huggins strangled the young pit bull mix pup on Thursday morning, and then chopped the animal into quarters and put the remains in the freezer.

A family member called police after learning what happened. Arriving officers say they found the dog's ribs cooked in a pot on the stove, and the animal's head was in the garbage.

Woman picks up tab for 180 at Plant City restaurant

PLANT CITY, Florida (AP) - A mystery woman who many say looked like the Florida woman who recently won the Powerball jackpot picked up the tab for 180 diners at a Plant City restaurant.

It happened around 4 p.m. Sunday at BuddyFreddy's.
