Construction on Annie Street

Tampa, Florida -- On March 25, the City of Tampa Wastewater Department is repairing a sewer mainline located in the 2400 block of Annie Street.

Department crews will close this section of Annie Street and detour traffic as follows:

Eastbound traffic:

Turn left on 24th Street towards East Okara Road Turn right on East Okara Road and travel east towards 26th Street Turn right on 26th Street and travel south towards Annie Street

Westbound traffic:

FDOT announces construction lane closures for March 17 - March 23

 

Hillsborough County, Florida-- The Florida Department of Transportation has announced non-interstate, construction lane closures for this week. 

They are as follows: 

 

Busch Boulevard between Dale Mabry Highway and Armenia Avenue

  • Repaving – Intermittent daily lane closures Monday – Friday between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am.

Dale Mabry Highway between Kennedy Boulevard and Hillsborough Avenue

Traffic slow down on I-75 and I-4

Traffic slow down on I-75 and I-4

Tampa, Florida -- Traffic will be controlled by law enforcement officers and paced slowly, around 15 MPH, on northbound I-75 from north of Interstate 4 (Exit 261) to just south of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard (Exit 270).

The slow down will begin Friday night, March 15, into Saturday morning, March 16. 

Also, no traffic will be allowed to enter northbound I-75 at the Fowler Avenue and Fletcher Avenue interchanges until the front of the traffic pacing has passed the entrance ramps.

Tampa, Florida -- Mayor Buckhorn will cut the ribbon on the completed New Tampa Boulevard Bridge on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. The ribbon cutting will take place on the West Meadows side of the bridge, at the intersection of Meadow Pine Drive and New Tampa Boulevard.

Mayor Buckhorn says the widening along Bruce B. Downs will make a huge difference for New Tampa residents, "It will give the residents of New Tampa the traffic relief they deserve. The project gives motorists, pedestrians, and even first responders an alternative route to take."

Tampa, Florida-- Mayor Buckhorn will cut the ribbon on the completed New Tampa Boulevard Bridge on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Construction began in May 2011, and was not scheduled for completion until July 2013. The ribbon cutting will take place on the West Meadows side of the bridge, at the intersection of Meadow Pine Drive and New Tampa Boulevard. The bridge will open shortly after the ribbon cutting on February 27.

Building evacuated for small gas leak on Bruce B. Downs

Wesley Chapel, Florida -- If you're wondering what all the commotion was about this morning in the area of Bruce B. Downs and Mystic Oak Boulevard, authorities say a lawn maintanence worker ran over a gas value causing a small leak.

The sheriff's office assisted Pasco Fire Rescue crews with evacuating a building nearby and shutting down the Mystic Oak/Bruce B. Downs and Wrencrest/Bruce B. Downs intersections around 9:20 a.m.

Authorities have since cleared the scene and all intersections are now back open. TECO is currently on scene doing some minor repair work.
