Riverview, Florida - The Hillsborough County Public Works Department has closed the Old U.S. Highway 41A Bridge over Archie Creek until further notice as a result of an inspection that found the small bridge is structurally deficient.

The closure is from Burts Road to the Mosaic facility located on the road.

Old U.S. Highway 41A in Riverview is an industrial road that isn't used much by the public, but is primarily used by trucks traveling to industrial facilities on the road. Old U.S. Highway 41A branches off of U.S. Highway 41 and is between Bloomingdale Avenue and Riverview Drive.

To navigate the closure drivers should take U.S. Highway 41 to access Old U.S. Highway 41A on either end of the road that is open. 

Message boards are being placed at both ends of the detour to advise drivers of the closure and detour.
