Tampa, FL -- The installation of the new, on-street, solar-powered pay stations in the downtown core was completed in January 2011.

As of Monday, Feb. 21 the City of Tampa Parking Division's courtesy warning program for downtown will no longer be in effect.

During the 12-week installation period, the Parking Division issued in excess of 3,200 courtesy warning citations in an attempt to educate motorists and parking patrons on the use of the new pay stations. The pay stations replaced approximately 1,000 of the City's existing 1,425 single-space meters.
