Tampa, Florida-- The JLT Holiday Gift Market is 10 years old! Join us for a weekend to shop, share, care – and celebrate the history of Tampa. As you stroll through Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds, you will be transported into a holiday wonderland – stepping back in time to old Tampa and its rich traditions.

The Holiday Gift Market is one of the League’s largest fundraising events of the year. The Junior League of Tampa commits 100% of the net proceeds from our fundraising efforts to JLT community projects and leadership programs.

Tampa, FL -- Luxe Fashion Group and Vocess Magazine presented the 1st annual Cars & Couture event in Tampa Bay hosted at the International Jet Center on Oct. 14.

The event benefiting the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) featured exotic cars, boats, photos ops, charity presentation, silent auction, jet display, vendors, cocktails, couture fashion show, wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres tasting provided by Casanova.

2011 Peace Couture to be held at The Cuban Club

Tampa, FL -- This year's Peace Couture event will be held at The Cuban Club in Ybor City. The annual event to benefit The Spring is scheduled for Nov. 7.

Peace Couture combines art, fashion, food and music with the goal of raising awareness of domestic violence in the Bay area.

Famed costume designer to speak in Tampa

Tampa, Florida -- If you are fascinated with fancy costumes in the movies and want to learn the secrets and inside stories, there is a great opportunity at the University of Tampa.

Famed costume and wardrobe designer Suzy Freeman who has worked on more than 28 movies including the following:

The Wettest County in the World (2012)
This Must Be the Place (2011)
The Tree of Life (2011)
Knucklehead (2010)
Temple Grandin (2010)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

Freeman will speak from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the e Reeves Theater in the Vaughn Center at the University of Tampa in Downtown Tampa. The University of Tampa is located at 401 West Tampa Street.
