Tampa, Fla. -- Rashad Callaway wanted a memorable senior season for two reasons: to go out as a winner and erase a forgettable junior year.

"Last year we were 11-16," Callaway said. "It was just so heartbreaking."

Callaway says the first losing season in his 15 years playing basketball got him focused to make sure the Spartans turned around the down year. Mission accomplished so far.

McClain to play in all-star game

McClain to play in all-star game

Orlando, Fla. -- Terrell McClain hopes for a NFL future. The USF defensive tackle will get a prime opportunity to show his value at the East-West Shrine Game.

McClain accepted an invitation to play in the 86th edition of the all-star game that will be held January 22 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

McClain was a disruptive force for the Bulls interior defensive line in 2010.  At 6'3", 310 pounds, he has the size to fill plenty of gaps.

During his senior season, McClain played in all 13 games, where he registered 24 tackles, 4 1/2 for losses, with three sacks and seven quarterback hurries.

Former USF linebacker Kion Wilson played in the 2010 East-West Shrine Game during it's first year in Orlando.
