Lightning Playoff Game 4: Behind the Scenes

Lightning Playoff Game 4: Behind the Scenes

If you have ever seen or been to a Tampa Bay Lightning Game you have seen the spectacle of the game.  The lights, the players, the music but most importantly the game.  It IS exciting.  It IS fun.  But more importantly it is hard work.  For every player and person you see on the ice and jumbo-tron there is an army of individuals you will probably never see.

From a media perspective it is kinda cool.  I grew up in the desert southwest, well, let's just say Hockey was NOT native. We did have a minor, Minor, MINOR league hockey team called the New Mexico Scorpions.

I was a team photographer and loved every moment of every game I shot.  When I moved to Tampa, holy smokes, The Tampa Bay Lightning was here and I was an instant fan.  But as a media member I am not allowed to take sides of the team I cover.  I am required ethically sit back and watch the games in an unbiased eye.

But I digress, last night's game against the Pittsburg Penguins, was a major production both for the team as well as for the folks at the St. Pete Times Forum.
