Tampa, FL-- Head coaches Joe Paterno and Urban Meyer, are the stars and main attractions of the 25th anniversary of the Outback Bowl.

Both coaches were in Tampa Thursday, for the bowl game's annual Contract Signing party.  Paterno and Meyer met the media for more than an hour, in a series of local and national interviews.

Of course, the focus of this Outback Bowl is Urban Meyer's decision Wednesday, to resign as Florida's head coach after the game on January 1st.

As a fellow coach, and 45 years of leading the Penn State football program, Paterno said he knows what Meyer is going through, and the stress of leading a major college football program.

Ever since Meyer met Paterno on a Nike coaches junket 6 years ago, they've struck a close friendship.

"We get to go on the trip every year," said Urban Meyer Thursday.  "I can't get enough of Joe Paterno and Sue, his wife.  Shelly (Urban's wife) and I believe in family, we believe in marriage, we believe in the way they act around each other.  It's refreshing.  We both love 'em to death."
