Westfield Citrus Park Spooktacular happenings

Tampa, Florida -- Westfield Citrus Park has some Spooktacular events leading up to Halloween.

It all gets started this Saturday, October 27 at 10 a.m. with the unveiling of the new aquatic themed PlaySpace in the Dillard's wing.

A costume contest will follow for kids ages 3 and under at 11 a.m. Kids ages 4 - 7 will be judged at 1 p.m. and 8-12 year-olds will have their turn at 2 p.m.

Finally, on Halloween the mall will once again host a trick-or-treating event from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. The first 500 kids will receive a free trick-or-treat bag.

Tampa Water Department warns consumers of "Free Water Testing"

Tampa, FL-- The Tampa Water Department sent out a message yesterday to warn consumers of private businesses who may contact you to "improve the quality and saftey of your water."

The Water Department says these individuals are in no way associated with them. Here is their full message:

Go "Shopping for a Cause" at Bobbie Rose Boutique

Tampa, FL-- The Bobbie Rose Boutique in New Tampa invites you to go "Shopping for a Cause" in support of Domestic Violence Month.

They ask you to "Show support and buy purple", and 100% goes to The Spring. You may also make a donation. There will be purple decorated cupcakes & drinks for enjoyment during the event.

The event begins Saturday, october 27 at noon, and will last through 6 p.m.

The Bobbie Rose Boutique is located at 1836 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., right acorss from The Shoppes at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel.

Tampa, Florida -- Do you love fresh fruits and vegetables and organic food?

You're in luck! An open air fresh market is coming to Westchase Town Center of Saturday, October 13.

This will be your chance to buy locally grown, fresh food in your own neighborhood. There are similar markets like this throughout Tampa Bay.

You will also find homemade foods at the market.

It will be held every second Saturday, October - May from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Tampa, Florida -- It's time to wrap up the "fall cleaning" and make a little bit of cash during the Westchase Community Garage Sale this Saturday, Oct. 6...or try to score a deal on an item you've been searching for.

The garage sale will be held from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Residents are asked to not sell any food items or collect items for a charity.

Unsold items can be dropped off at the Goodwill trailers throughout the neighborhood from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Belle of the Ball to hand out homecoming dresses to those in need

Seminole, Florida-- The Belle of the Ball Project will distribute homecoming dresses to high school girls from low-income families in Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties. The event kicks off today at 10 a.m. and will last through 2 p.m. at the Seminole Mall.

Unable to make it today? Don't worry; almost 4,000 quality dresses will be there for the choosing (along with shoes and purses!) on October 6 and 20, and again on November 3.
