Award winning country music band hosts charity dog wash

Tampa, FL -- The Band Perry with Purina Dog Chow will host a charity dog wash, open to the public, with proceeds benefitting The Humane Society of Tampa Bay this Friday, April 29!

Local residents are encouraged to bring their dogs – especially if they are in need of a good bath. The band will interact with fans, sign autographs, and give away CDs and concert tickets before pitching in to wash local dogs.

The band will hang out fans and have an autograph session from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Tampa, FL -- Centro Ybor is losing another tenant.

The retailer Urban Outfitters says it will close its Ybor City store in July.

Last year, an Urban Outfitters store opened at International Plaza and it appears that location will remain open.

Free equipment and training for the hard of hearing

Ruskin, FL -- If you or someone you know is deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired there's free help available on Wednesday afternoon so they can learn how to communicate with loved ones and friends by phone.

Florida Telecommunications Rely, Inc. (FTRI) provides free specialized equipment and training to qualified Florida residents.

The equipment they provide enables them to make and receive phone calls.

Tampa, FL -- If you've been thinking about signing the kiddos up for swim lessons, now is a good time to get them scheduled.

The Westchase Swim and Tennis Center is offering swim classes for kids 6 and older in June and July at the Countryway Pool.

Fish Hawk, FL -- This club provides babysitting experience to sitters, ages 11 and older, in a group setting under adult supervision.

The sitters meet on the third Tuesday of the month from 7 - 8 p.m. at The Osprey Club.

Typically, the last Friday of the month is Kids Night Out "KNO", where the club members provide an evening of games, crafts, movies and a snack, for the children of FishHawk Ranch.
