Tampa, Florida --  Hillsborough County's Parks and Rec Department is teaming up with Bakas Equestrian Center to offer summer camp for kids 5-17.

Activities include horse care, lessons, canoeing, arts and crafts and off-site field trips.

Your child can stop in for a day or come all three weeks (July 11-15, July 18-22, July 25-29).

The cost is $50 per day or $250 per week.  This does not include lunch, so make sure to pack up a few snacks for the kids).

By the way, Friday's are Horse Show Days for parents so you can see how much your child has learned at camp!

Citrus Park -- Westfield Citrus Park are presenting summer events for families that love animals during Magical Animal Kingdom in June. 

The events are part of Westfield Family Fun Days designed to help kids learn about animals in the wild and in their own backyards.

At these free, family-friendly activities, kids will play, create and learn about animals.

On June 16, the kids will decorate easy-to-assemble bird houses, have story time with "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," by Eric Carle and "The Lion and The Mouse" by Jerry Pinkney, and enjoy another healthy snack the programs begin at 4:00 p.m.

The City of Plant City Recreation & Parks Department has a comprehensive list of camps online with registration information for all ages.

There is some good news for parents in a financial bind right now, some of the camps actually have a payment plan available.

Some of the camps begin June 13 so time is running out.

Tampa, Florida- An invention that's been around for years in Europe, Australia and the Middle East in flying off the shelves at International Plaza following a report on the dangers of cell phone radiation.

Smart & Safe opened up its first kiosk in Florida a day before last week's release of the World Health Organization's report detailing the potential risks from long term exposure to cell phone radiation. The company sells headsets that keep all electronics away from your head and instead transmits the sound from your phone through a pair of air tubes.

"The sound is amazing," said Smart & Safe's sales manager Natalie Ben Hamo.

Tampa, Florida -- Access is a power data base system that can cull information from complex sources.

The John Germany Library at 900 N. Ashley Drive in downtown Tampa is offering the basics of table design in Access.

Table design allows a user to set up queries to the date base to find significant information from the various columns of information.

The class is scheduled from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8 in the computer lab at the library.

A course in Access l is recommended for those taking this course.

The event runs Saturday, June 11 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

There's a $5 charge for USFBG members, children under 12 are admitted for free.

Ruskin, Florida -- Learn how to keep you and your family safe when you're out on the water this summer. If you have plans to take the boat out get it checked out first.

Sgt. Brad Millican of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit says, for many people, this is the first time all year they've taken their boat out.

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 75 gives free vessel safety inspections for recreational boaters. The safety checks only take about 15 minutes.
