The company is opening a new branch for members at 400 N. Tampa Street. The new branch office will be the 19th opened by Grow Financial in Tampa.

Tampa Bay -- FEMA released the following updates for counties affected by Tropical Storm Debby.

A FEMA/State Disaster Recovery Center is now open in Hillsborough County to help those survivors whose homes and/or businesses were affected by Tropical Storm Debby.

The center is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Safe Babysitter Course

Safe Babysitter Course

Plant City, Florida -- Now is your chance learn how to be a successful babysitter. This one day course is free and includes a Safe Sitter student kit and lunch.

You must be at least 11 years old to take the course.

Each participant will learn how to handle behavior problems, rescue a choking infant or child, administer first-aid, run your own babysitting business and keep yourself and the kids safe.

Class is Wednesday, July 18 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at The Network, located at 639 East Alexander Street.

Improved "do not call" list now available for sign up

Sebring, Florida-- Sheriff Susan Benton says now is the time to register for the improved Florida Do Not Call List!

Administered by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, this program bans unsolicited telemarketing calls to residential, mobile and paging telephone numbers.

The most recent improvement in the program is the elimination of the annual fee. Your residential and/or cell phone number will be listed for five years at no charge.
