Restaurant returns Ybor building to original use

Tampa, FL -- The grand opening for Carne ChopHouse with Mayor Bob Buckhorn will be tomorrow, June 19. 

The restaurant, located at 1523 E. 7th Avenue, is in a building that once housed Ybor City's first Latin social club.

A news release sent out the following information about the restaurant:

Tampa, FL -- Cigars at the Grotto has been scheduled for Thursday, June 28 at 7 p.m. 

The event, at Gaspar's Grotto will of course feature cigars, along with booze and BBQ.

The event will also include live music.

Gaspar's Grotto is located at 1805 E. 7th Avenue in Ybor City.

Food Truck Fiesta takes off

Tampa, Florida -- About this time each month, Downtown Tampa is taken over by nearly a dozen food trucks.

The Mayor's Food Truck Fiesta is held the first Wednesday of the month and so far it has been a huge hit.

Food Truck Fiesta began last November and can draw as many as 1,500 people to Lykes Gaslight Square Park. There are spaces for 11 trucks and the goal is to introduce three new businesses each month.

World of Beer: Pensacola Bay Keep The Pint Night

Westchase, Florida-- The World of Beer in Westchase will host a Pensacola Bay Keep the Pint Night this coming Thursday. 

According to their website, "When you order a Pensacola Bay Deluna pale Ale or Lil Napolean, the glass is yours to keep!"

They will also be raffling off Pensacola Bay shirts, hats and swag. 

Giveaways start at 6 p.m., but they are limited to one per person while supplies last.
