This Saturday, July 16 from 4 - 9 p.m., residents can bring as well as admire 1986 and older cars and trucks.

Registration opens at 3 p.m. and is free. Admission is also free!

The event is this Saturday from 10 a.m until 5 p.m. in the Community Room of the Riverview Branch Library which is located at 10509 Riverview Drive in Riverview.

The presenter is the Hillsborough County Small Business Information Center.

Ruskin, FL -- Hillsborough County has an abundance of regional parks to discover, explore and enjoy during July, National Park and Recreation Month. This week’s featured park is E.G. Simmons Regional Park, 2401 19th Ave. N.W. in Ruskin.

E.G. Simmons Park, located only three miles north of Ruskin, has been a popular area for outdoor enthusiasts since the mid-1960s. The Park was developed from 258 acres of native mangroves and open land areas, intertwined with waterways. An additional 200 acres of mangrove swamp has been preserved as a bird and wildlife sanctuary.

Undoubtedly, the most popular features of the park are the picnic areas and campground, which boasts beautiful waterfront views. E.G. Simmons Park has 87 individual camp sites and one group site. Bird watching in the shallow waters and surrounding mangroves are also a popular pastime of park visitors.

This Friday, June 24, you will have an opportunity to see firsthand some of the county plans as there will be a Land Use Hearing at 9 a.m. in the second floor boardroom of County Center, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd in downtown Tampa.

Summer Concert for a Cause: Eric Clapton Tribute Band - Crossroads

Fish Hawk, FL -- This week's Summer Concert for a Cause is sure to please many, so get ready for a Smokin' Blues Show like no other! 

Performing the June 24 show is the Eric Clapton tribute band - CrossRoads at Park Square.  The Tampa based tribute band covers the entire career of Guitar Legend Eric Clapton from Cream to present day.

As an ongoing tradition, concert goers are asked to bring non perishable food items to donate to Feeding America Tampa Bay.  On June 10, Fish Hawk Connect reported  collecting 235 lbs of food! 

Donors will be rewarded with a raffle ticket for a prize to be given out that evening.  The free concerts which have been supported by Newland Communities for five years are provided for the enjoyment of the community.

Plant City, FL -- Every month, the Art Wall at the Bruton Memorial Library features the work of an east Hillsborough County artist or arts organization.

This month, the library is currently displaying paintings and photographs by members of the East Hillsborough Art Guild.
