Yappy Hour: Pups on the Patio

Apollo Beach, Florida -- You are invited to bring your pups and dine on the patio with like-minded dog lovers, while supporting C.A.R.E., Ruskin's no-kill animal rescue.

Yappy Hour takes place Tuesday, May 22, at 6 p.m., at Tavern on the Boulevard in Apollo Beach.

The entrance fee of $5 includes six raffle tickets.

Organizers say you will be able to enjoy great food, drinks, and good company.

Canine Cabana celebrates four years

Canine Cabana celebrates four years

Riverview, Florida-- May 1 marked the four year anniversary of the Canine Cabana, a local doggie daycare, lodging and training facility.

Angie Frazier, a Canine Cabana representative, reported that more than 50 dogs and owners joined in the celebration of this milestone.

From 5 - 7 p.m., dogs dined on biscuit martinis and cake and their owners helped themselves to pizza and refreshments, all provided by the Canine Cabana.

Tampa, Florida-- As a result of the transmission water main break that occurred earlier today, the Tampa Water Department issued a precautionary, three-day boil water notice to North Tampa residents.

Protect yourself and only sip on sanitary water, but make sure to consider your creatures during this time too!

According to BluePearl Veterinary Partners, Various health issues can be caused by consuming unsafe water,” said Tony Ishak, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM, a specialist in veterinary internal medicine at BluePearl.

It's twins!- Busch Gardens' Mongoose Lemurs give birth to rare pair of babies

Tampa, Florida-- Earlier this month, Busch Gardens witnessed an uncommon event: the birth of mongoose lemur twins.

On Friday, April 6, the two babies were born to 17-year-old mother Rosalita and 18-year-old father Guillermo. Rosalita’s first baby – a male named Duggan – was also born at Busch Gardens and moved to another zoo for breeding.
