Harlem Globetrotter to teach "ABCs of Bullying Prevention"

Tampa, FL-- Tomorrow, Hammer Harrison of the world famous Harlem Globetrotters will speak to students around the Bay area about the team’s “ABCs of Bullying Prevention” program.

Harrison will head to the Villa Madonna School, Pizzo Elementary and Citrus Park Elementary to continue the efforts of reducing bullying and violence among youth in our schools and communities.

Tampa, FL-- This evening at 6 p.m., Governor Mitt Romney's son, Craig Romney, will attend a meet-and-greet event for Temple Terrace Romney supporters. 

The event is scheduled to take place at the Temple Terrace Victory Office, 234 Bullard Pky. 

Doors open at 6 p.m., but organizers say the event will begin at 7 p.m.

Temple Terrace Police offer free bicycle light kits

Tampa, FL-- The Temple Terrace Police Department has 300 light kits to give away to cyclists as a part of a recently launched bicycle safety initiative.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) generously provided the kits, inclusive of a LED headlight and tail light, for attachment to any bike lacking the equipment. 

Temple Terrace officers will be stopping riders without the proper lights and reflectors, and providing them with the kits to prevent accidents and educate the public on bicycle safety laws.

"No texting and Driving" campaign launched at Strawberry Crest High

 

Tampa, FL –  Strawberry Crest High School has teamed up with two local business owners to launch a "No texting" while driving campaign for its students. 

Scott and Cathy Kudlinski, owners of Absolute Auto Repair, reportedly donated 2,300 "No Texting" thumb rings to the school, along with cards for students to pledge their committment.
