Jury Duty Tales from a 10 News photographer (Part 3)

Back to the holding area where I began my day and now they are telling us we can break for lunch, but must be back by 1 p.m.

Tune in soon... It is now 11:43 a.m.

So here is the low down of my lunch warm instant mashed potatoes, green beans and a substance that resembles meatloaf.

As I sit down another joins me only to find out she is the world's shower Jehovah's Witness. Makes me think her recuiting efforts are a bit abysmal at best.

1:00 p.m. and roll call and we are back at it again. Names of folks are being called that are still not here. This system seems broken. Lots of time can be save if efforts could be made to keep track of who is present and who is not.
Looks like we will be broken up into other jury panels.

Update it is now 2:43 p.m., I have now allowed a 7th grader help me figure out today's Sudoku and Jumble as well as the Chess game in today's issue of the St. Petersburg Times. Glad I was there to help her solve the whole thing.

They have now reorganized us and put us into another slightly different panel this time with 22 on it. 11 males and 11 females. 14 white, 6 Hispanic, 1 black and this lonely Asian.

We have been told we are going to wait for about 25-30 minutes. BTW they let the rest in the jury waiting room go home for the day.

How much does that stink?

Now I wait...
