Another prayer vigil held for 'Doomsday Prepper'

Valrico, Florida -- The daughters of Martin Winters, the so-called "Doomsday Prepper," held another candlelight vigil for their father, who remains locked up after fleeing agents trying to serve him with a search warrant.

The FBI said it was tipped off that Winters had as many as 50 high powered rifles and several explosives buried around his home near the corner of Williams Boulevard and Pine Street. But after several hours of searching, agents apparently found far less than what they were led to believe.

Winters defense attorney said agents only found five rifles in a safe.

Winter's daughters say the reason he bolted from the FBI was to protect his two teenage grandchildren, who were in his pickup truck with him.

The three daughters say they plan to talk with their father on Monday via video chat. They say he's doing well health wise, saying he's optimistic and just wants justice. The 55-year-old is being held without bond.
