New motorcycles for police department | News
Plant City -- The Plant City Police Department will be ditching its aging fleet of motorcycles for some new wheels.
The current bikes, which are Harley Davidson Road Kings, will be replaced by four Victory Commander Police Motorcycles in late August.
The Plant City Police Department selected the Victory Commander, rather than staying the Harley for its overall cost, look and maintenance plan.
The new bikes will look very retro. They will have the old school black and white paint scheme and will be accented by the department's vibrant blue and gold logo.
The Commander Series is Victory's first attempt at gaining a foothold in the police motorcycle market.
Victory's engineers spent four years conducting interviews with police officers in order to develop and perfect the Commander Series of bikes.
