Emergency repairs on downtown street

TAMPA, Florida -- The City of Tampa's Wastewater Department is conducting emergency repairs on a collapsing manhole located in the 1300 block of North Florida Avenue at the intersection of Laurel Street.

Due to the location of the manhole, the center and right lanes and merging all northbound traffic in this area into the left lane will be closed. While this work is going on there will be arrow boards in place directing traffic.

The project is expected for completion, including repaving the lanes, no later than the close of business Tuesday, Jan. 4, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends motorists find alternate routes of travel while this work is in progress to avoid any delays or road congestion. Please direct any concerns regarding this project to Reginald Tim, Team Leader, at (813) 918-2011.
