Tampa, Florida -- Jolly ol' Saint Nick is making sure kids at one Tampa school aren't forgotten this holiday season.

On Thursday morning, firefighters, paramedics, and police from all over Hillsborough teamed up to help escort Santa through Ybor. Santa read a holiday story and passed out some gifts at DeSoto Elementary, with the help of Sincerely Santa.

Many of the kids' families are facing some tough economic times.

Sincerely Santa has provided toys and clothing to needy children during the holidays for more than 22 years.

If you would like to help, you can send a tax-deductible check made payable to:

You can also shop for a child by choosing a letter from the tree located in the center hallway in front of Dillard's at the Westfield Brandon now through December 12th. There are still 1,400 wish lists that have yet to be filled.

The group plans to help 5,000 underprivileged Hillsborough County kids.

"We have twice as many letters and half as much money as last year," organizer Debra Hoffman said.
