Riverview business owner appointed to Boating Advisory Council

Riverview, Florida -- Governor Rick Scott has announced five apointments and one reappointment to the Boating Advisory Council.

Lester Ares, 36, of Riverview, is the owner of Ares Yachts Inc. He succeeds Rebecca Bragg and is appointed for a term that started  June 12, 2013, and ends September 30, 2014.

The other people appointed are from across the state.

Todd Rebol, 39, of Punta Gorda, is a civil engineer at Banks Engineering. He succeeds Mark R. Leslie and is appointed for a term beginning June 12, 2013, and ending September 30, 2015.

Christopher C. Shaffner, 38, of Jupiter, is the owner and captain of TowBoat One Inc. He succeeds Phillip M. Walters and is appointed for a term beginning June 12, 2013, and ending September 30, 2014.

Dean Shuler, 36, of Lake City, is the president and owner of Pura Vida Divers. He succeeds Frank E. Gernert and is appointed for a term beginning June 12, 2013, and ending September 30, 2015.

Dr. Kathleen Tripp, 31, of Port Orange, is the director of science and conservation at the Save the Manatee Club. She succeeds Jessica K. Koelsch and is appointed for a term beginning June 12, 2013, and ending September 30, 2014.

April S. Price, 54, of St. Lucie, is a public relations and marketing coordinator at April Price and Associates. She is reappointed for a term beginning June 12, 2013, and ending September 30, 2015.
