TBARTA invites you to talk transportation

Tampa Bay, Florida--  The Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA) invites residents from seven local counties to join in upcoming talks about the region's future transportation plans and priorities.

TBARTA reps say they will host telephone "TownHall meetings" for 10 days starting Monday, April 1.

An automated system will call between 40,000 and 80,000 per night to extend an invite to the forum, and then TBARTA reps will take it from there to answer questions and respond to comments.

Participants will be able to review key materials and documents online while listening to the call, and will also be able to pose questions and comments over Twitter, Facebook, and e-mail.

The Telephone TownHalls will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on April 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 8th.  Each night will focus on a different part of the TBARTA region:

  • April 1 - Hillsborough County
  • April 2 - Manatee & Sarasota Counties
  • April 3 - Pasco County
  • April 4 - Pinellas County
  • April 8 - Citrus & Hernando Counties

Anyone who wishes to participate in the TownHall may call a toll-free number that will be posted online at www.tbarta.com next week.
