Busch Gardens welcomes Aardvark baby
News

Tampa, Florida -- It's being described as "so ugly, it's cute!" and "precious." However you feel about Busch Gardens' newest resident, you gotta admit it's pretty cool!

The healthy baby, born back on February 6, is the third one born at the park in less than three years and is expected to grow to more than 120 lbs. within its first year of life.

Park officials say the baby, whose sex is unknown at this time, is receiving primary care from its mother and additional care from staff.

Busch Gardens says aardvarks are solitary by nature, and aardvark births are not common. The animal care team says all three aardvarks born at the theme park have the same parents. The baby's sister "Adazee" was born on March 26 last year and its older brother "Zawadi" will be two years old on April 10.
