Curbside changes at Tampa International | News
Tampa, Florida -- Curbside changes are now in effect at Tampa International Airport.
You will no longer be able to wait for inside your car for your guests at the arrival curbs. Drivers will be told to keep driving through unless they are actively loading their guests.
TIA was one of a few airports that still allowed people to wait inside their cars, but this created traffic issues at some points during the day and blocked other people trying to pick up people.
A survey of the arrival curbs showed some cars waiting for more than 30 minutes!
TIA is trying to make it a little easier for those of you waiting to pick up your friends and family. For the next 30 days, food trucks will be parked in the Cell Phone Waiting Lot Tuesday-Friday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m..
While the food trucks are temporary, you will always have access to free WiFi, restrooms, vending machines and flight information in the Cell Phone Waiting Lot.
Short Term parking is also an option. It is free to park for under one hour.
