Teen Driver Safety Week event at Sickles High

Tampa, FL-- The Florida Highway Patrol will head to Sickles High School next week to promote Teen Driver Safety Week.

All students at the school are encouraged to wear white shirts to "white out teen crashes" on October 16, as they learn about auto accidents, and related injuries and deaths.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, teenage drivers in Florida were involved in nearly 30,000 crashes which resulted in some 260 fatalities and over 27,000 injuries in 2011. They will shed light to these statistics and others during the event.
