Time running out to request an absentee ballot

Hillsborough County, Florida -- The deadline for voters to have a Vote By Mail/Absentee Ballot sent to them by mail is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25.

After Jan. 25, voters can appear in-person and request a ballot at any of the four Supervisor of Elections offices.  Vote By Mail, formerly known as absentee voting, is one of three ways that registered Republicans can cast their ballot in the upcoming election.

"Vote By Mail gives registered voters an alternative to physically voting at the polls. It's also a fast, convenient and secure way to vote," said Earl Lennard, Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections.

Over 12,500 Hillsborough County residents have received a Vote By Mail Ballot for the upcoming election.

All ballots must be received by the Elections office by 7 p.m. on Jan. 31. Voters can request and track the status of their Vote By Mail Ballot online, by clicking here.
