It's bathing suit season!

Lithia, Florida -- It's that time of year when clothing gets skimpy and the bathing suit gets dusted off. So you know what that means?! It's time to workout!

FishHawk Ranch is offering Zumba classes four days a week! You can burn calories while learning to dance the salsa, merengue, cha-cha, belly dance, bachata and Latin hip-hop and no dance experience is required!

All ages are welcome.

Classes run Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:45 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursday at 7 p.m. All are held at the Osprey Club.

Tampa, Florida -- "Race 4 Her Life: Fighting Ovarian Cancer" is a 5k run/walk on USF's campus.

The race takes place Sunday, March 18 at the Sun Dome. There is a fee of $25, which includes a shirt. All profits of the event will be donated towards ovarian cancer research or treatment options for victims of the disease.

Come out, make friends, and save lives in an exciting 5k! The top Male/Female runner will receive customized Nike Free Running Shoes!

All Children's Hospital has new high-tech learning center

Tampa, Florida -- A baby's cry at All Children's Hospital demands attention. But this cry isn't coming from a real baby; it's coming from a high-tech mannequin.

The medical mannequins at the new Simulation Center are almost creepy in their ability to mimic young patients.

"He does blink, he can cry tears," says ACH Education Specialist Lisa McGuire, standing over a mannequin of a young boy.

Apollo Beach, Fla. -- Time is running out to sign up for the Girls Only Conference put on by the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department.

The event is designed to raise the level of awareness about positive life styles, and health and welfare of young Hillsborough County adults.

The registration deadline is Thursday, March 8 though and the event is only open to the first 100 participants.

Free hearing and vision screenings in Ruskin

Free hearing and vision screenings in Ruskin

Ruskin, Florida -- St. Joseph's Children's Advocacy Center and Prevent Blindness Florida is going to offer free hearing and vision screenings in Ruskin for children from ages 2 to 18.

These screenings would normally cost between $23 and $25.  No appointment is necessary. For those who qualify, assistance will be provided for glasses and exams.

The screenings are scheduled on Friday, Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 3030 E. College Avenue in Ruskin.
