Tampa, FL -- John Kent, owner of North Pinellas and Westchase Adventure Boot Camp for Women has a reminder for those of you getting back into your workout routine...eat!

"Working out on an empty stomach is a bad idea because it could cause dizziness, nausea, fatigue, and dehydration," he said. "Your blood sugar level will fall, you'll get hungry, and end up eating more food after a workout."

Kent recommends you eat small portions of food, but watch those calories.

"Choose a snack that has a good balance of protein and low glycemic carbohydrates, is a lot in fat and is easily digested and normalizes blood sugar," said Kent.

Some pre-workout snacks you can consider include oatmeal, nuts, yogurt, bananas and some sports bars or shakes.

He also says you shouldn't forget to drink water!
