Tampa, Florida -- The Hillsborough County Health Department has issued  a health advisory for Ben T. Davis South and Davis Island beaches due to high levels of enterococci bacteria.

The department says the levels of bacteria should be considered a potential risk to swimmers.

The samples were taken on Monday and will be re-sampled Monday, June 12. If the water is found to be within the satisfactory range, the advisory will be lifted.
