Hillsborough County, Florida-- Today marks the first "TiViTz Tuesday", an educational event geared towards parents, teachers and kids to be held at local McDonald's restaurants through April.

SAS Games and TiViTz have partnered with owners and operators of Hillsborough County McDonald's restaurants to motivate kids to make the most of their abilities through playing TiViTz, a game based on mathematics and strategy.

SAS Games President and TiViTz game inventor, Steve Scully, says the challenging, but entertaining game should help students improve various skills needed for success in school.

“Our mission is to motivate students to make the most of their abilities and potential by helping them to improve their skills in critical thinking and mathematics through the use of challenging, fun-to-play TiViTz games and tournaments," he says. “We couldn’t be happier that in partnering with local Hillsborough County McDonald’s we are now able to provide a fun practice venue, exposing more students, teachers and parents to the world of TiViTz.”

The kickoff event takes place today at 3 p.m. at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 1905 N. Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa, but organizers say TiViTz Tuesdays will be held weekly at 55 McDonald's locations throughout the county.
