"No texting and Driving" campaign launched at Strawberry Crest High

Tampa, FL –  Strawberry Crest High School has teamed up with two local business owners to launch a "No texting" while driving campaign for its students.

Scott and Cathy Kudlinski, owners of Absolute Auto Repair, reportedly donated 2,300 "No Texting" thumb rings to the school, along with cards for students to pledge their committment.

“Because we are located a block from Strawberry Crest we saw more and more students texting while driving to and from school,” said Cathy Kudlinski in a release about the campaign. "We wanted to do something to make a difference because we’ve seen many of the students grow up as their parents brought them to the shop, to them becoming teenagers and driving their cars in for service."

The students, and even the teachers are said to be very excited about the pledge.

One lucky student winner will receive a limo from Paradise Worldwide Transportation for eight students to ride to the Friday's Homecoming Dance.

The Winner will be announced this today at the Home Coming game, and eight lucky Strawberry Crest students will ride in style tomorrow night to the Home Coming Dance.

To keep the focus on “No Texting and Driving” all year long, they will also give away $50 gift cards to students who display the pledge card in their vehicles.
