Detectives seek man with possible info on murdered woman

Tampa, FL -- Hillsborough County detectives are asking for the public's help finding a man who may have information about a woman found dead in her home on Sunday.

Detectives have learned the man was seen with Nancy Grooms on Feb. 9 at the R&C Chiquita Meat Market, at 12307 North Nebraska Avenue and believe he may have information that may be helpful to the investigation. He is described as a black male, 20-30 years old, approximately 5'9" to 6', 175 lbs., with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, blue jean shorts and black sneakers.

Tampa, FL -- Hillsborough County detectives are searching for the men who robbed the Chevron gas station on Friday, Feb. 10.

According to police, around 2:33 a.m., the two men shattered the front door of the gas station on 7702 East Hillsborough Ave. and removed the cash drawer before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 5'8" - 6', medium build. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with white design on the back, dark jeans, black gloves, black shoes and wearing a white shirt covering his face.

Alabama woman arrested in Hillsborough for human trafficking

RIVERVIEW, Fla. -- A woman from Alabama is in jail in Hillsborough County accused of human trafficking. According to officials with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Kathleen Roberson was arrested Saturday near the intersection of Falkenburg Road and Progress Boulevard. It's where a deputy stopped her for not having a tag on her SUV.

According to authorities, Roberson also had no driver's license and no paperwork for the vehicle. Six other people were also spotted in the vehicle with her. According say five of them were illegal immigrants from Mexico.

Lithia, FL -- Two men were found guilty by a federal grand jury Monday for conspiring distributing cocaine, methamphetamines, and marijuana.

Argument ends in stabbing

Ruskin, FL -- An argument between roommates got violent Saturday with one stabbing the other.

According to police, Oracio Campo Ramos, 55, and Augustin Patino-Andrade, 31, had been drinking and appeared to be very drunk when the argument occurred around 10:14 a.m. on Jan. 28. The two men live in the same home, on Eljay Lane, along with several other people.

Police say Patino-Andrade stabbed Ramos in the chest with the knife when the fight turned physical and Ramos was taken to Tampa General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police searching for bank robbery suspect

Tampa, Florida - Detectives are investigating a bank robbery that happened Friday morning at the Sun Trust Bank at 8005 Harbour Island Boulevard. 

Tampa Police say as the manager was arriving to open the bank, the suspect jumped out from behind the bushes. He implied he had a gun and forced the manager inside.

The bank manager hit a silent alarm button, and officers showed up within minutes.  Their arrival scared the suspect and he ran out the back door without any money.
