Search continues for man who robbed bank in drag

Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Police detectives are continuing to ask for the public's help in tracking down a man who robbed a BB&T Bank in drag on the morning of Dec. 16.

Detectives say around 9:43 a.m., the man walked into the BB&T Bank in the 4800 block of South Himes Avenue and pointed a handgun at the tellers demanding cash. The suspect fled the bank in a white, mid-90's model Dodge Caravan.

Teen stabbed at clubhouse dies, suspect in custody

Pasco County, Florida -- UPDATE: The teen stabbed at the Meadow Pointe II clubhouse on County Line Road Friday afternoon has passed away, and the suspect is now in custody, updates from officials said Friday evening. 

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office,  the suspect is 18-year-old Cleave Gittens. He's accused of stabbing 16-year-old Tuvarrion Simons, a Zephyrhills High School student, during an argument at the clubhouse.

Tuvarrion was taken to the hospital, but did not survive his injuries.

Family turns in alleged shoplifter who jumped into pond

Tampa, Florida -- UPDATE: The woman deemed the "runaway shoplifter", who deputies say took off into a pond when they tried to arrest her, is now in jail.

Kenia Lee was turned in to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office by relatives late Tuesday night.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office temporarily suspended its search for a suspected shoplifter who jumped into a pond outside University Mall and never resurfaced Tuesday evening.

The sheriff's office says it received a 911 call about a fight in the parking lot at the mall just after 4:30 p.m.

Jamaican stowaway arrested with pot in Port of Tampa

Tampa, Florida -- A Jamaican stowaway was arrested with over three pounds of marijuana on him at the Port of Tampa Sunday.

Federal and local investigators say Duwayne Hines, a Jamaican national, boarded the maritime cargo vessel "Dinkeldiep" while in a Jamaican port without permission.

The ship's crew notified authorities after they found Hines hiding on the boat while at out at sea. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials were waiting at the docks when the ship arrived at the Port of Tampa and arrested Hines along with 3.7 pounds of marijuana.

Men steal $4,500 in sunglasses from Brandon Sunglass Hut

Brandon, Florida -- Hillsborough Sheriff's Office detectives are asking for the public's help identifying three men who robbed a Sunglass Hut of $4,500 in sunglasses.

Detectives say on Oct. 23 around 6:50 p.m., the men entered the Sunglass Hut in the 600 block of Brandon Town Center Drive and looked around for a little while before grabbing numerous sunglasses off the shelves and running out of the store without paying for them.

Driver sought in deadly hit and run crash in Ruskin

Ruskin, Florida -- Hillsborough County Traffic Homicide investigators are asking for the public's help locating the driver and vehicle involved in the deadly hit and run of a bicyclist in Ruskin.

Detectives say around 7:00 p.m., 56-year-old Antonio Leon was riding his blue and silver bicycle west on 21st Avenue approaching his home in the 600 block of 21 Avenue S.E. when he was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle heading west on the road around 45 - 55 mph.
