Police: Woman says domestic abuse led her to shoot husband

Wesley Chapel, Florida -- A woman has been charged with attempted murder police say she admitted to shooting her husband multiple times early Sunday morning.

Diana Matthews told detectives she got into a heated argument with her husband, George Reavis, around 2 a.m. that turned physical. At some point during the altercation, Matthews said she ran out of their home in the 33000 block of Arthur Drive and he followed her.

When he did, she grabbed a .380 Colt handgun and load a clip into it. She said she then tried to run back to the home but he grabbed her by the hair.

Man enraged over lost cell phone attacks brother, deputy

Wesley Chapel, Florida -- A Wesley Chapel man is behind bars Monday after he got so angry over a lost cell phone he reportedly attacked his brother -- and a deputy who tried to step in and end the fight.

Pasco Sheriff's deputies say Michael Brown was with his brother and three friends on their way back to Wesley Chapel from a party in Tampa when he got upset over his lost cell phone. An argument started between all of them and the driver pulled the car over in the Publix parking lot in the 5400 block of SR 54.

Two women steal $3,000 in purses from Tampa mall

Tampa, Florida -- The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says the two women seen on the surveillance video above stole 10 designer purses worth more than $3,000.

Authorities say the women stole the handbags from the Dillard's store at Citrus Park Mall on May 21 around 10 a.m.

Wanted Tampa murder suspect caught in Georgia

Tampa, Florida -- A tip to Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay has led to the arrest of a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a man outside a home back in April 2012.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Fabian Williams was taken into custody in Sylvester, Georgia without incident and has since been transferred to the Hillsborough County Jail where he is being held without bond on charges of first degree murder and robbery with a firearm.

Help needed in cold case movie theatre murder

Brandon, Florida -- The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help, again, with the cold case murder of Sean Buchanan on May 30, 2011.

Police say Buchanan left the AMC movie theater at the Regency Square Shopping Center around 10 p.m. after watching the movie "Fast Five".

MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater warns underage drinkers

Tampa, Florida-- Despite its multiple name changes, one of Tampa's main concert and event venues has a clear stance on at least one thing- a "zero tolerance" policy for underage drinking on the premises. 

The newly named MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater- first known as the "Ford Amphitheater" before becoming "1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheater", and then briefly the "Live Nation Amphitheater"- has joined forces with local law enforcement and the Florida State Fair Authority. Together, they are warning anyone underage that they will strictly enforce drinking laws. 

Update: Boyfriend charged in shooting death of 18-year-old

Riverview, Florida -- Hillsborough County Sheriff's homicide detectives launched an investigation Wednesday morning after an 18-year-old girl was shot and killed at a local mobile home park.

Detectives say they got a call around 7:00 Wednesday morning about gunshots heard from a mobile home at the Pinewood Mobile Home Rentals along Highway 301. The first deputy on scene reportedly opened the door to the home and found the body of 18-year-old Amber Rose Baker dead from a gunshot wound.
