Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Police have a major development in the murder of cab driver John Dooley back in December.
Homicide detectives have officially charged the man they believed pulled the trigger the night of the deadly shooting. Detectives say ballistic tests confirmed the weapon they recovered from suspect Landrick Edwards' home back in December was the murder weapon used to kill Dooley.
Edwards, 24, has been in jail since Dec. 12, 2013 for violating his probation on an attempted murder conviction. On Friday, detectives charged him with the first degree murder of John Dooley.
Another man in the cab with Edwards at the time of the shooting, Devante Bell, was arrested and charged two days after the shooting. He remains in jail without bond.
