Tampa, FL -- Just hours before she's expected to take the stand at the bond hearing for Curtis Reeves, Nicole Oulson was taking to the airwaves.
Oulson was a guest Thursday on the national TV talk show, The View.
"In zero to 60, my whole world just changed... it was shattered for no reason," she told the show's hosts.
Oulson says she has no recollection of whether popcorn was thrown during an argument between Reeves and her husband, Chad.
It was a confrontation over texting their two-year-old's babysitter during the movie previews.
What she does recall, she says, is the 71-year-old retired Tampa Police Captain sitting behind them, relentlessly commenting about it.
"Which my husband ignored and ignored and ignored. And then it just got to a point where my husband spoke up and that's when he shot him. He was shot," said Oulson.
During Wednesday's portion of the bond hearing, Reeves was described as everything from a respected officer to a loyal friend.
His daughter called him an adoring father and grandfather.
But Oulson's take on Reeve's was a man whose life as an authority figure was challenged in a dimly-lit theater.
"He's used to telling people what to do and they say, 'How high?' when he says 'Jump,'" said Oulson. "He felt disrespected because my husband... he no longer has that control. He's not the movie police."
Oulson ended the televised interview speaking about the couple's daughter, Alexis, who is too young to fully understand what's happened to her father, said Oulson.
"Every night he would say that he was so happy, you know, 'That you make daddy so happy.' And she goes around with his picture saying 'Daddy's happy, daddy's happy.'"
Curtis Reeves' bond hearing continues Friday at 10 a.m. The state is expected to call three more witnesses -- including Nicole herself -- and is also expected to play surveillance video from inside the theater.
The judge will then decide whether Curtis Reeves should be granted a bond.
