Man charged in warehouse shooting

Plant City, Florida - A Lakeland man is under arrest on charges he fired shots inside a Save-A-Lot warehouse, wounding a subcontractor.

Police said Andrew Lee Brown, 53, was still armed and inside the building with other employees when officers arrived. The other workers had evacuated by the time police found Brown in the back of the building. He surrendered without further incident.

Brown allegedly shot Aaron Huey, 25, who was identified as another subcontractor for Save-A-Lot. He was taken to the hospital with a wound to the lower portion of his body and is expected to recover, police said.

Police say there is no indication any relationship existed between the two men.

Brown is a former Save-A-Lot contractor hired to transport goods from the warehouse, police said. His motive for the shootings is unknown.

Brown has been charged with one count of attempted first degree murder, eight counts of aggravated assault, shooting into an occupied building, one count of aggravated battery, and one count of using a firearm in the commission of a violent felony.
