USF student arrested after bringing a knife to school

Tampa, FL -- A USF student was arrested Tuesday after confronting students with a knife.

David Gerald Moseley, 19, was arrested on the charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after fellow USF students reported to USF police that Moseley confronted them while displaying a knife in a menacing fashion.

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. and appears to have stemmed from a minor disagreement that occurred in class a short time earlier.

During the disagreement Moseley asked the professor to remove some of the students from class for behavior that he felt was disruptive.

At the time of his arrest around 11:00 p.m., Moseley was still in possession of the 4-inch blade cutlery knife. He was taken to Hillsborough County Central Booking Facilities where his bond was set at $2,000.
