Judge revokes bond for so-called 'nightmare neighbor'
Crime, Weird

Temple Terrace, Florida -- Peace and quiet. It's what residents in the River Run neighborhood of Temple Terrace have been craving.

"It's like heaven. It's like I have my home back. I've got my life back," said Marquita Hutchins.

She and others are celebrating the arrest of neighbor Charlie Adams, the man who they say has made life on this street a living hell for more than 20 years.

'Nightmare neighbor' with 15 arrests says "let me do my thing"

"Today he's in jail, its fantastic," said Marquita's husband Robert. "The sun is shining, we can go out here, we are not in fear. "

Adams is in trouble this time for allegedly throwing a heavy duty light bulb hitting Mrs. Hutchins while she watered plants in her yard.

"He came out of nowhere and just threw it at her," said Marquita's husband.

It's hardly the first time he's been in trouble with the law. Adams' neighbors say they're fed up.

'Nightmare neighbor' strikes again

"To say that it's been unpleasant has been an understatement," said neighbor Tom Feely.

"He put nails in the street, for anyone who passed," said another neighbor, Frank Hansen.

"All of us have been accosted by him at some time or another," said neighbor Stephen Locke. "He says vile disgusting things to our wives to our children. It's horrible."

Family fearful of 'nightmare neighbor'

Somehow neighbors say, Adams usually finds a way to avoid persecution ending up back in the neighborhood to cause more problems.

But not this time.

A judge Thursday morning revoked his bond, meaning now he'll remain behind bars until his court dates for aggravated stalking.

"I heard those words and I thought 'is that what they said?' and I thought 'great'! We can live normally, we can be like normal people at last," said Marquita.

But neighbors like Robert worry how long the peace will last certain there is only one solution.

"Unless he is removed from his house, not allowed to come back here, he will be back and he will start again."
