FishHawk, Florida -- The 16th Annual Road Race at Park Square comes to FishHawk Ranch on Saturday, March 9.

Schedule:

  • Kids Race Starts: 5 p.m.
  • 5K Starts: 5:30 p.m.

Registration Fees:

  • 5K: $25 early, $30 day-of-race
  • Kids Race: $15
  • Race shirts guaranteed for first 500 adults and 100 kids.
  • Race Packets available for pickup Friday, March 8, from 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Hit The Trails (13433 FishHawk Blvd).

Tampa, Florida -- The Planning Commission invites you to participate in a series of public meetings and workshops to develop a Vision Plan for the Terrace Park - University Square (TPUS) area.

This vision plan is being developed for the City of Tampa by the Planning Commission, working with area stakeholders.

The meeting takes place Thursday, Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Museum of Science & Industry located on 4801 East Fowler Avenue in Tampa.

Riverview, Florida -- Cooley Law School located at 9445 Camden Field Parkway in Riverview is hosting a volunteer event in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The event is set for Monday, Jan. 21, from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.

It will be held at 107 Mason Street in Brandon.

The law school's Tampa Bay campus will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a volunteer event for students, faculty and staff at the Portamento of Hope Cafe in Brandon.

Hillsborough Co., FL-- The Hillsborough Education Foundation traveled to schools and educational sites around the county today to surprise 17 top-notch educators as finalists for this year’s Ida S. Baker Diversity Educator of the Year, Instructional Support Employee of the Year, and Teacher of the Year awards.

The 17 finalists, selected by their peers, represent the “best of the best” from Hillsborough County Public Schools.

A winner in each category will be named at the 2013 Excellence in Education Awards, presented by the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union Foundation.
