Chamber luncheon welcomes new members!

Riverview, FL -- The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce’s monthly membership meeting luncheon took place on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at the Riverview Civic Center, 11020 Park Dr, Riverview.

Hosted by Rory Weiner, P.A., the buffet luncheon was catered by S&S Taco’s & Stuff/Pizza’s & Stuff and was attended by approximately 100 members and guests.

Mr. Weiner served as the guest speaker and educated the crowd regarding common mistakes that businesses make. Following the welcoming of new members and renewing members, a 50/50 raffle was held as well as additional drawings for chamber members and guests.

Riverview, FL -- Join members of the GRCC Ambassador Team and Membership Committee to help spread the good word of the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce! Often, GRCC hears "I didn't know Riverview had a chamber". 

The Chamber need its members help to spread the word that there actually is a Riverview Chamber; a chamber that cares about members and members that care about each other and support each other. 

Based on the Ambassador Team's goal setting session in January, they are hitting the streets this Friday, Feb. 25 for 1-2 hours, whatever your schedule will allow (that is for whoever can make it).

Local businesses came out to welcome the new chamber members and learn more about the law firm and their practice.

Allen Law, P.A. focuses on Elder Law, Probate, Estate Planning, Family law, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Civil Litigation, Guardianship, Special Needs Trusts, Medicaid Planning, and Criminal Law.

Hillsborough honors five oldest black businesses

Tampa, FL -- Hillsborough County's five oldest Black Businesses will be honored tomorrow at noon in Joe Chillura Courthouse Square across from the County Center, 601 E. Kennedy, in Downtown Tampa.


The businesses are the center of the Board of Commissioners Celebration of Black History month. This is the 19th year the county is participating. This year's program is called, Black Business-Our History and Legacy.


The five business being honored are Helping Hand Day Nursery, 86 years; The Florida Sentinel Bulletin, 65 years; Coles Barber Shop, 65 years; Wilson's Funeral Home, 57 years; and College Hill Pharmacy, 54 years.


Commissioners Al Higginbotham, Lesley 'Les' Miller, Jr., and Ken Hagan will honor each business individually by introduction and presentation of a Proclamation.

GRCC 17th Annual Golf Tournament March 19

The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce will be holding its 17th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, March 19 at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club which is located at 13050 Summerfield Blvd. in Riverview.

Registration begins at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.  Four player teams and individual players are welcome.  Local businesses are invited to showcase their organization and become a hole sponsor for $150.  This is your opportunity to be creative and enjoy the spotlight.  Another option is to display your organization’s name as a Green Sponsor for $75.

This year, there is an inclusive team sponsorship package available, playfully called “The Hole Package” which includes one foursome team, 4 entries in the P.F. Auto Glass Putting Contest, 4 entries in the Superior Residences of Brandon Memory Care Chipping Contest, hole sponsorship, listed as an event sponsor, GRCC newsletter and website acknowledgement, lunch for four sponsored by Chick-fil-A at Lake Brandon Village and 4 dinner tickets; all for $600.

A team foursome is $350 or individual players $90.
