Orange painted bicycles have become a common sight along Bruce B Downs Blvd. near Highwoods Preserve Parkway.  Have you found yourself trying to figure out why these bikes are parked along the boulevard?

A new business is coming to New Tampa.  Orangetheory Fitness will soon be opening in July across from the Walgreens and next to the Starbucks on Bruce B Downs Blvd.

It's a unique concept from standard fitness driven businesses.  Orangetheory Fitness focuses on.  Here's a snippet of what they're all about:

Tampa Theatre marquee goes green

Tampa Theatre marquee goes green

Tampa, FL -- Tampa Theatre is replacing all of their light bulbs in it's marquee today in downtown Tampa.

All 2,490 bulbs will be changed from 11-watt light bulbs to less expensive and energy efficient 3-watt cold cathode ray bulbs that will use 73 percent less power.

A crane is being used to replace the bulbs of the 7-story sign. Workers will work Tuesday, June 28 and Wednesday, June 29 from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. until all bulbs are replaced.

A not-for-profit organization, Tampa Theatre succeeds only because of the generosity of the greater Tampa Bay community. Memberships, sponsorships and philanthropic gifts help support the Theatre's artistic and educational programs and keep the facility open and accessible year round.

New Tampa presentation on oil company profits

Dr. Bernard Weinstein, associate director of Southern Methodist University's Maguire Energy Institute, will discuss oil industry earnings on June 13 at Pebble Creek Golf Club off of Bruce B Downs Blvd.
