Apollo Beach, Florida - The 19th Annual Apollo Beach Manatee Festival of the Arts is this Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13. It will feature art, food and entertainment.

Tampa, FL -- Tickets sales for the 1st Annual International Freethought Film Festival will begin at noon on Thursday, March 3 at the Tampa Theatre box office and on the Tampa Theatre Website.

Ten screenings during the event will consist of independent, full length features and short films selected from submissions, which were entered for consideration by the filmmakers.

The line-up reflects the purpose of the International Freethought Film Festival, which is to promote reason, critical thinking and freedom of inquiry through the medium of film. Discussions and Q&A sessions will also be a part of the program.

Tampa, FL -- An Evening with Charles Dickens staring actor Giles Davies will open Thursday at the Mainstage Theatre on the Hillsborough Community College Ybor City campus.


Shows are scheduled for March 3 - 5.


An Evening with Charles Dickens is a light-hearted and varied look at the life and character of Dickens with half of the performance dedicated to his impressions of America from his 1842 visit.

Valrico, FL -- There's a Life Story Writing Workshop at the Bloomingdale Regional Public Library starting next week.


The classes will be held on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and April 5. The Bloomingdale Regional Public Library is located at 1906 Bloomingdale Ave. in Valrico.


The free classes help you write your own "Life Story" and organize a "Life Story" portfolio.


Class size limited to 10. Please plan to attend all meetings. You can pre-register at the Bloomingdale Regional Library Ask-Me Kiosk.

Tampa, FL -- North Tampa Art League artists John Henne, Steve Sperry and Lloyd Johnson invite you to Artapalooza, an art show featuring their work for the entire month of March.

Bamboozle will host a reception for the artists at the Café on Tuesday, March 1 from 6:00 p.m. until closing.

The public is invited. Bamboozle Café is located at 516 N. Tampa St.

Come in and meet the artists, enjoy their art and try the unique oriental cuisine.

Downtown Tampa gets ready for Gasparilla Arts Festival

Tampa, FL -- One of Tampa's largest art festivals starts the first weekend in March at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in Downtown Tampa.

The Gasparilla Festival of the Arts will feature hundreds of Painters, Artisans, Photographers, Sculptors and Jewelers from around the world displaying  their work March 5 and 6.

The first show began in 1971 and featured 130 artists. In 2005, with 300 Exhibitors, the festival attracted more than 300,000 Art Enthusiasts, making it one of the largest Art Shows in the Southeast.
