Then join your friends at the Macy's Court for snacks, stories and crafts this Thursday, June 2.

The fun starts at 4 p.m. with story time. Kids will hear readings of Moose Tracks! and Bear Snores On.

After that it's make and take craft time. This week kids will create their own bears out of tissue paper!

Judge to share West Tampa memories at Library History Roadshow

Hillsborough County libraries will celebrate their 100th Anniversary in 2014. To demonstrate why our libraries are so special, the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System is embarking on a Centennial Project to make a digital history of our local community’s photographs, memorabilia and stories.

The Library History Roadshow will make its second stop at the West Tampa Branch Library on Saturday, June 4 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., participating in "digital history in the making." Current and former users of the library are invited to bring their photos, memorabilia, artifacts, and stories of the West Tampa Branch Library to share. Prizes will be given for the oldest library memories.

At 1 p.m., special guest Judge E.J. Salcines will speak on the history of West Tampa, and share his memories of the library at the FREE event.

Join us at the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Libraries for interesting, entertaining and informative programs for the entire family throughout the month of June. Here are some of the FREE events you can look forward to in the coming month in Seminole Heights:

  • Story Art - Wednesdays: June 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 10:30 a.m.  - Join us for a story about other cultures, and create your own art project based on the story. Dress for artistic fun as children will be experimenting with paints, chalks and other media. For children up to 5 years of age.

  • You Are Here: The 70s Summer Kick-Off Party - Thursday, June 9 at 3:30 p.m. - It was the age of Star Wars, disco and bellbottoms…the 70s! Go back to the time of groovy movies, music, dance, and games and be sure to dress in your finest 70s threads. All are welcome at this summer reading kick-off party!

  • Wii Gaming for Adults - Saturday, June 11 at 12 p.m. - Wii gaming isn't just for kids! Golf or play tennis with Wii Sports, indulge your inner rockstar with Guitar Hero, or bust a move with Dance Dance Revolution.

  • Adventuring Through Africa - Tuesday, June 14 at 3:30 p.m. - Welcome to the second largest continent in the world! Experience through stories, music, activities and crafts some of the many countries of Africa.

Creative teens can create their own T-shirt designs!

Ruskin, Florida -- Teens between the ages of 12 and 18 can gather together at SouthShore Regional Library at 15816 Beth Shields Way in Ruskin to create their own T-shirt design.

The event is Thursday, May 26 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Teens will be able to create a design that they can transfer to a t-shirt thanks to the help of an art instructor.

There's only room for 20 teens so you must register at the library. You can visit the information desk at the library or call 813-273-3652 for more information.

Art Monkey Summer Camp registration starts

Art Monkey Studio is offering two kinds of weeklong summer camps that will teach kids a variety of mediums allowing them to experiment with multiple materials and techniques.

The regular camp is a week-long art intensive experience where kids ages 7 and older will spend time on the potters wheel, sculpting and handbuilding, glass fusing, mosaics, tie dye, heat pressing dyes, and other fun mediums. At the end of the camp kids will compete in an Art Show to show off their masterpieces.

The mini camps are offered for kids 4 - 6 years old who will experiment with the same mediums, but the products will be adapted for the smaller hands. Sessions are 2 hours, 3 days/week.

Gavin Degraw to perform at the Ritz Ybor

Tampa, FL - Gavin Degraw will be performing his only solo concert in Florida at the Ritz Ybor. The concert is scheduled for June 2 and general admission tickets are $20.

The RITZ Ybor presents Gavin Degraw's only Florida solo concert at The RITZ Ybor on Thursday, June 2 where special guest Mike Sanchez will be the opening act.

Gavin Degraw is an American singer-songwriter and musician known for his hit-singles "I Don't Want to Be," "Chariot," "In Love with a Girl," "We Belong Together," and "Follow Through." He will be touring the U.S. as a supporting/opening act for Maroon 5 and Train over July and August 2011.

Gavin's fourth studio album called "Sweeter" will be released in early August, while the album's first single "Not Over You" will be released digitally in June 2011.

Free Family Adventure Day in Riverview!

Riverview, Florida - There's a free Family Adventure Day event being held on Sunday, May 22 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at YMCA Camp Cristina located at 9840 Balm Riverview Road in Riverview.

The YMCA is going to showcase many of the camp activities it has to offer on its 65 acres.

The event on Sunday will feature archery, horseback riding and arts and crafts.

There will also be a climbing wall, a zip line and a giant swing.
