Tampa, Florida--The Tampa History Center presents a new exhibit commemorating the 50th Anniversary of President John Kennedy's visit to Tampa- launched just days before his assassination in Dallas.

According to the museum,"The Exhibition, captures the tension and joy of Kennedy's 1963 Tampa visit."

In addition to film footage, home movies and oral histories from people in the area who say JFK, the museum features uniforms and badges from those in law enforcement who were assigned to the protection detail.

The exhibit runs from 10 am to 5pm from through December 8.

The Tampa History Center is located at 801 Old Water Street in Downtown Tampa.
