Cirque Italia presents ACT XII at MOSI

Tampa, Florida – Cirque Italia comes to MOSI’s adjacent property, Nov. 1 – Dec. 2, to perform ACT XII, its 2012 opening show. With talented artists from across the world, Cirque Italia will have audiences dazzled under the big top. ACT XII will feature unique aerial acts, hand-balancing acts, contortionists, hula hoops and many more stunning performances.

Cirque Italia is an Italian entertainment company that brings a European style to its performances. It has been described as a “vivid, dramatic, and moving experience under a customized traveling tent.” Cirque Italia brings the appreciation of production and circus arts together to create a night audiences will remember.

Manuel Rebecchi, the owner of Cirque Italia, was born and raised in Milan, Italy, and came to the United States in 2000. He spent his childhood traveling across Europe with his renowned aunt, Moira Orfei, and her circus. His uncle, Massimiliano Nones, is a recipient of the prestigious Gold Clown Award, which was given to him by Prince Rainier of Monaco. Rebecchi’s passion for the circus and love of performance runs deep.

“To finally have the opportunity to make this passion a reality in America is a dream come true for me, and I am thrilled to be able to share this reality through the presentation of Act XII,” said Rebecchi. “Cirque Italia is not an average or traditional circus – it’s more of a Soleil meets Age of Aquarius.

Rebecchi’s vision is to present something new and fresh, with an exceptionally modern theme that has never been seen before. Act XII is unique with its moveable water stage and colorful dancing fountains. This Cirque Italia production will stun and charm audiences with its all-European style, performance art, drama and quirkiness, said Rebecchi.
