Flights delayed at TIA as winter storm moves east


Tampa, Florida -- It was a rough start for air travelers this week with nearly 2,800 flights cancelled across the nation as of this afternoon.

Travelers at Tampa International Airport weren't spared those cancellations and long delays either.

Sheneka Rowe says she is frustrated. "I'm ready to get back onto the plane to New York."

Family of four injured in hit and run

Tampa, Florida -- A family of four was trying to cross the street when police say someone hit them with their vehicle and took off.

The accident happened on Nebraska Avenue E. The family was reportedly standing in the median when a black or dark colored SUV sideswiped them, then continued southbound on Nebraska before turning eastbound on 109th Avenue.

Police say the driver never stopped to assist the family.

All of the family members sustained some bruising and scrapes. Two of the victims were taken to a local hospital for precautionary care. 

Pasco Sheriff's Office looking for missing Wesley Chapel man

Pasco County, Florida -- The Pasco Sheriff's Office is seeking help in locating a man who went missing after returning home from the hospital.

On February 28, Olaniran Jegede, returned home from the hospital after being treated for chest pains. Jegede spent an unknown amount of time at home on Seabreeze Way in Wesley Chapel before leaving in a 2013 black Lincoln MKZ bearing the FL tag BZNB74.

Reportedly, Jegede traveled to an unknown destination and has not had any further contact with his family members.

Teenager shot outside bowling alley in Tampa

Tampa, Florida -- A 14-year-old boy is recovering after being shot in a drive-by shooting.

The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. on Friday right outside Pin Chasers Midtown, a popular bowling alley on Armenia Avenue. The victim was part of a larger group of people that had just been escorted off the Pin Chasers property for fighting in the parking lot.
